2023 season details :
Do you have a young athlete interested in volleyball? Our 1st Touches or Developmental Team would be just the ticket! These programs are designed to introduce the proper volleyball technique for all new athletes while keeping a fun and focused environment. This will help set them up for success moving into our competitive travel teams as they get older. The season will begin in January and you can find more details at the bottom of this page.

NIVBC is changing our developmental program options to now include athletes as young as 1st grade! Registration for our 1st Touches and Developmental Program can be found below beginning November 6th 2022.
1st Touches athletes DO NOT NEED TO TRYOUT. You can simply sign up once registration opens online. Here is the link to register now:

Development Team (3rd-6th graders new to the sport, any 6th graders returning to the sport is recommended to tryout for the U12 travel team) are asked to attend a 1 hour introduction practice upon signing up with us. This practice is a fun filled hour full of drills and skills to help coaches assess how to best group our athletes for the team season. practice on Saturday Nov. 5th from 4:00 to 5:15 at Sandpoint Middle School.

DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRAM OPTIONS:
Welcome to the NIVBC Volleyball 2023 season. *Pre registration is REQUIRED* see link above to register on or after Oct. 21st 2022. No day-of drop ins available for this program. Space is limited to ensure quality coach-to-player ratio. Please see all details for programs below.
The 1st Touches and Developmental program is an introduction for beginner volleyball players, that works on developing fundamentals of the game in girls and boys ages 7 to 11 years old. No prior experience needed.
This season will offer two programs, our 1ST TOUCHES and our traditional Developmental Team.
1ST TOUCHES COST $100. This is designed for athletes 1st & 2nd grade to begin their journey in volleyball. NO prior experience needed. This group will practice for 1 hour, 15 minutes once a week for 8 weeks ending with a scrimmag. Beginning in January. All players will receive a NIVBC t-shirt. This will be a fun filled environment with our wonderful Developmental Coach Rainie Conley.
DEVELOPMENTAL TEAM COST $225. This is designed for athletes 3rd to 5th grade (or 6th graders who have no prior experience) working on their volleyball fundamentals. NO prior experience needed. Season length is 10 weeks, beginning in January. all players will receive a NIVBC t-shirt. This team will have 2 practices per week, 1.5 hours long and will participate in at least 2 scrimmages with other developmental programs in the area and 1 regional tournament. This program will also be ran by our Developmental Coach Rainie Conley.
Fees for Developmental Team or 1st Touches do not include your regional membership. All membership purchases are done through Sports Engine with Evergreen Region.
You can select "Youth Membership" for 11 and under.
The club does have a fundraising committee that will be working on different types of fundraisers throughout the year, to help reduce the cost of tuition and find sponsors for these programs. If you are interested in helping with this committee please reach out to us ASAP as we are seeking more members.

Once you have registered on Sports Engine we will have all information needed. NIVBC will email all parents mid December with confirmation of practice location/dates/times. We cannot officially announce this until after the LPOSD non-profit gym use meeting when we can reserve our gym use.
