Julia began playing volleyball at the age of 10. She played for NIVBC beginning at age 12 through high school. She played for Sandpoint High School varsity for 3 seasons including bringing in an Idaho State Championship title in 2006. In 2011 she was hired by NIVBC to coach developmental and U12 teams. Eventually Julia moved to helping on the club board as she began coaching for Sandpoint High School. For SHS she was a freshman team coach, Junior Varsity coach, assistant varsity coach and setting coach. In 2018 she took on the role of NIVBC Director for 2 seasons then fall 2020 she became President of the board.

Sheyna Rust has been the bookkeeper and VP for North Idaho Volleyball Club since the fall of 2020. She has bookkeeping experience going back to 2006 and is also the office manager and bookkeeper for family’s construction company. Sheyna enjoys playing both indoor rec and beach volleyball and is very passionate about the sport. Born and raised in the area, she also enjoys many other outdoor sports such as hunting, fishing, and snowboarding, but her favorite activity is watching her two daughters and their teammates excel at volleyball!

Desi has been coaching or a part of a program in some capacity since graduating college in 2008. Desi played High School VB in Bonners Ferry and played volleyball at the collegiate level in Oregon, while also playing basketball. She continued with basketball in my move to Chaminade University. After college, Desi moved to Montana but then settled back in North Idaho and immediately got involved in the Volleyball community. Currently, Desi is a Director on the NIVBC board, and an avid lover of all things volleyball and enjoys giving back to programs and kids in our community.  

Allison played competitively for NIVBC from ages 11-20, when the club was nationally ranked. They won multiple tournaments including PNQ and the Far West National Qualifier. Playing on the SHS team, they were nationally ranked and completed her senior season with 36-0, and then went on to play at Boise State. After college, Allison was on the coaching staff for five years at Bishop Kelly where her teams placed in the top 4 at state twice and attended state 4 out of 5 years. Along with coaching high school teams, she also coached cub for the 12 years she lived in the Boise area. 

As a coach, Allison always strives to improve herself and attends several well-known coaching clinics around the country.

Rainie was born and raised in Sandpoint, Idaho. She began playing volleyball through the local rec league program and fell in love with the sport immediately. From here she would go on to play for Sandpoint Middle School, Sandpoint High School, volleyball clubs located in Sandpoint and Coeur d’Alene, and go on to play at Brenau University in Gainesville, GA. She has always enjoyed sharing her love of the sport with others and began coaching while in high school. Most recently she has been coaching the 1st Touches and Developmental groups for NIVBC.

Angie Bureau provides administrative support as the NIVBC tournament director. She is a 1993 Sandpoint graduate, who played volleyball collegiately for North Idaho College in 1994. Angie’s love for club volleyball began when she, herself was a player for the original Sandpoint club program named Ohana in 1988. When Angie’s daughter was old enough in 4th grade (2008) she came back into the North Idaho Volleyball program. Over the years Angie has worn a variety of hats with the program being involved as assistant coach, head coach, board member, club president, to currently tournament director. With the help of club volleyball, Angie’s daughter developed into a collegiate NCAA Division II player, who also came back to the NIVBC team participating as assistant and head coaching positions for the last 4 years. Angie is thrilled to be part of the program in any capacity to help our community youth to achieve their goals and learn the great game of volleyball.
