2026 / 2027 TEAM TRYOUTS
ALL U12 to U18 athletes must be registered for tryouts through Sports Engine. See the schedule and links for each separate tryout on the "Register Here" tab.

1st Touches & Development
Do you have a young athlete interested in volleyball? Our 1st Touches or Developmental Team would be just the ticket! These programs are designed to introduce the proper volleyball technique for all new athletes while keeping a fun and focused environment. This will help set them up for success moving into our competitive travel teams as they get older. The season will begin in January and you can find more details at the bottom of this page.

NIVBC is changing our developmental program options to now include athletes as young as 1st grade! Registration for our 1st Touches and Developmental Program can be found below .
1st Touches athletes DO NOT NEED TO TRYOUT. You can simply sign up once registration opens online. Link to register in red:
We are evolving our youth programs to help fit the needs of the young North Idaho athletes eager to learn / explore this amazing sports. We currently offer clinic style practice series for 1st through 5th graders (broken info groups by age and skill) in the fall and and more team like structure for the same athletes mid winter. Please keep an eye on our social media and the 1st Touches/Developmental page of our website for the most up to date information.
DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRAM :
The 1st Touches and Developmental program is an introduction for beginner volleyball players, that works on developing fundamentals of the game in girls and boys ages 7 to 11 years old. No prior experience needed.
We are in the process of revamping our programs for our 1st through 6th graders! Fall 2025 we introduced a new "rec style" options for training. Come winter 2026 we will host a more competitive training group for our 4th/5th/6th graders too. Please keep an eye on our registration page and social media for the most up to date info.

Welcome to the North Idaho Volleyball Club (NIVBC). We are proud to be part of the United States Volleyball Association. The USAV has divided the nation into 40 geographic regions. Each region’s goal is to offer the USAV experience. We are part of the Evergreen Region, which is comprised of the geographic area of Eastern Washington (all counties east of the Cascade Mt. range), Northern Idaho, and the state of Montana.

Our player/parent handbook is designed to educate you about our club, our coaching philosophy, and how to be successful within the North Idaho Volleyball Club. It is an accumulation of rules, regulations, policy, and facts at the time of its latest revision. Our NIVBC handbook is intended to be used in conjunction with the Evergreen Region Participants’ Handbook/Operating Code, the USAV Domestic Competition Regulations, and the USAV Guide Book. We hope this handbook will provide you information that will be useful to your decision on whether to play for Sandpoint during the upcoming season.
